Get ready to trade the city streets for island breezes! South Broward Wheelers is heading back to the iconic shores of Sanibel and Captiva for a weekend of great rides, better company, and plenty of Vitamin D.

An SBW Icon is Back!

This is one of our most iconic weekends for a reason: the scenery is simply unmatched. With the area fully recovered and the bridge reopened, we are ready for a weekend of incredible riding. We might even get to see some of the area’s famous Burrowing Owls!

SBW’s Jupiter to Stuart Loop & Picnic

Get ready to roll! Join South Broward Wheelers on May 3rd for a scenic trek from Jupiter to Stuart and back. This 50-mile route offers some of the best coastal views in the area, starting and ending at the beautiful Coral Cove Park.

After we log the miles, we’ll transition from the saddle to the sand for a post-ride picnic right at the park. It’s the perfect chance to refuel and hang out with the crew.

The Details

Date: May 3rd, wheels up at 8am
Start/End: Coral Cove Park, Jupiter
Distance: Approximately 50 miles
The Pace: We are planning on one large group ride, maintaining a 17–19 mph pace. However, depending on the turnout and rider comfort levels, we may split into "Experienced" and "Advanced" groups to ensure everyone has a safe and steady pull.

RSVP Required

Please sign up as soon as possible! We need an accurate headcount to coordinate the ride groups and, more importantly, to make sure there are enough snacks and drinks for the picnic.

Puglia, the "heel" of Italy's boot, is a region celebrated for its stunning Adriatic and Ionian coastlines, distinctive white-washed towns (like the famous Alberobello), and rich historical heritage dating back to Magna Graecia. The Salento peninsula, where this trip takes place, is known for its flat to gently rolling terrain, ideal for cycling, and its production of excellent olive oil and bold wines like Primitivo. Prepare for sun, sea, and fantastic food!
